Manuel Rodríguez, dance

Manuel Rodríguez develops his work through different artistic disciplines and formats
revolving around dance and visual arts. Which means that his work can arise through different practices and dynamics where special attention is paid to what is procedural.

His interest and reflection on the performative act itself, leads him to a continuous exercise of reinvention of the body and space. His practice of it invites contemplation and proposes a
catharsis in the gaze as an essential tool for true and deep understanding of things.

The image becomes conceived and perceived as in a photograph taken by means of the
"overexposure". Physicality is activated in this context, manifesting itself in states of
hypersensitivity and introspective, becoming an aesthetic and conceptual channeling tool.
