Reich / Crumb project
Imaginari Ensemble presents two aesthetically different works for this formation, by the hand of two of the most influential living American composers of the avant-garde in recent decades: George Crumb and Steve Reich.
However, despite the personal language that characterizes their music, both authors are united in some way by their architectural composition, by the precise and calculated design of the patterns with which they build their landscapes. With this choice of repertoire, the training tries to show two very contrasting landscapes, which surprisingly dialogue and really understand each other on stage.
Imaginari Ensemble is born from the convergence of four musicians (Víctor Trescolí and Miquel Ausina, pianists, David Merseguer and Carles Salvador, percussionists) united by the passion of the most recent musical literature, with the concern to explore the new soundscapes of music of our time. +
The group thanks the Conservatori Professional de Música de València for their collaboration in the assembly of this project.
